The CCTV Installation process

CCTV installation no no

This is BAD

The initial step in a well-designed CCTV system is     figuring out where you will view your recorded video. I prefer to set-up a shielded, separate system for recording and viewing. Depending on your space and situation, I will mount your power supply to the wall; unless you are purchasing our Digital Video Recorder lock box, I will mount the power supply to it. Once we have a safe place picked out for your Digital Video Recorder, we will need to decide where your cameras will be mounted. When scouting for the best possible camera location keep these things in mind.

  1.      We want to make sure to cover all entrances and exits into your location. With this said any and all entrances and exits. The most important exit, to the trash can where a lot of your goods end up at for later retrieval or somebody wanting to dig through your trash to gather your personal information.

We install our cameras in view of the area to be seen. Not the back of heads or (even though it is hard not to admire it), the sky! We focus on what you need to see.

Even though we carry all sorts of cameras, as a technician I have a the bigger the better for outside cameras. Yes you might have to spend an extra Franklin but if they can see the camera, they might not attempt to violate you.

Now it's time to run our cable. This is where the mess comes in. Years of dust, insulation and yes, 9 out of 10 times rat droppings. Our technicians are trained to not allow contaminates to get into your merchandise, customers or machinery. We are also trained to work around your business. Still worried? Let us to it at night!

We will decide with your help, because after all it is your business, what route is best in your particular situation. For example, if you have an attic or drop ceiling that is easily accessible, we will run our cable through there. If you have a basement, then we will run below the floor.

The attic and drop ceiling option is far more efficient and makes drilling holes through exterior walls much easier.

This information is posted to ease your mind when it comes to your location and appearance, we want to stop people from violating you while at the same time not violating you.
